Walking Mindfully

January 21, 2013 by brookskolb

Walking mindfully one Sunday afternoon last fall led me to compose this poem:

A November Walk

When crows vocalize

In the late afternoon,

Golden poplar leaves

Dance against bare branches

And lawns turn bright emerald

Above the deep blue lake.

Only then, Autumn settles in

And makes way for Winter.
